Choosing a diet or weight loss program can be overwhelming. There are so many claims
out there, so many diets, so many fad diets, what's the next best thing. How do you choose
what's right and evaluate it effectively? This is Alice Monsaert with some tips for
you on just how to do that. If you see a diet that makes a claim that you can lose 30 pounds
in 30 days be aware. If you see a diet or weight loss plan that eliminates one food
group such as carbohydrates, be aware. Proper nutrition involves taking in enough calories
and taking in those calories from all three food groups which includes carbohydrates,
fats, and proteins. Realistic weight loss is about a pound to maybe a pound and a half
a week so those claims out there that say take this pill and lose 30 pounds in 30 days
are too good to be true. You really need to seek the advice of perhaps a personal trainer
or a dietitian to help you with your weight loss goals. It is a daunting process. In real
life it actually is pretty simple to do, stay away from all of the claims that say this
is easy. It is not easy. It takes day after day of diligent work to make sure that you
are ingesting the right amount of proteins, carbohydrates and fats to get the calories
that your body needs to function daily. So choose wisely and seek the advice of a professional
should you need more help.
