Hi, This is the Mini Sax
it uses an Alto Saxophone
Mouth piece
and reed. It's easy to play when you are not blowing a lot of air through it
the fingering system
is straight up and down
sharps to flats
can be done by partially covering the holes... the only difficult thing
sometimes people encounter is sometimes
when people blow
they tend to bite and when you bite
you shut off the air
and the air does not go through.
and a squeak might happen
or no sound. the other is if you blow
extremely softly
you just get air.
so if you're blowing light like how you
blow a candle
then you get the sound immediately
How do you put this together?
OK, the reed, the reed goes even
with the end
you hold it with your finger
you slide the ligature ring down tight
if it goes off to the side
you re-center it
and pull hard
to get it off it's hard to pull it off so you wiggle it off
and you put it back
in the case so it doesn't chip
and when the reed eventually wares out, any music store carries these anywhere
any music store anywhere in the world
fantastic
and
do these come in
different sizes or something?
They are all in the same key, they are in the key of B flat like a tenor sax or clarinet or soprano sax
I do have a smaller model which is not here... it is a smaller hole model for kids or women with very thin fingers
but again this
blowing without clamping down
the sound should happen
right from the beginning
if you get air and sound, it means you are blowing soft.
if you blow soft you can get winded
if you blow harder the reed vibrates and you are going to need very little air
and you are going to need very little air
and that's about it!
