Hi everybody! Rob Glass here and I've got some great news I can't wait to share with
you! We are about to relaunch the Bloomfield Hills Foundation and I'm excited for you to
meet our new Executive Director, Cathie Badalamenti. Welcome Cathie! Thank you! I'm excited to
be here and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Foundation. And I'd just like to talk a little
bit about a program we have upcoming that everybody in the district can get involved
in. Great! Love to hear about it! So the Foundation we have a vision to engage students, empower
educators, and enrich our community. And as a part of our vision, we are going to offer
mini grants for anyone in the district team to apply and to offer an innovative program
that they are not currently offering in the district to engage our students. We are going
to give out $15,000 in mini grants over the next four to five weeks and we'd like for
all teachers and staff to apply. So to find out more information about the Foundation
or to apply for a grant, you can go to the website and our information and the applications
will be under there. You can email me at BHS Foundation at bloomfield dot org or you can
call me at two four eight three four one give. Happy to talk to you and provide any assistance
you might need. Great! And after this will come a bit of a Founders campaign. Absolutely!
We are going to start what we call the Founding Fund and we are going to ask members of the
whole community to contribute to the Foundation and they will become Founding members and
their contributions of course will go toward our grant program so that in the fall and
in consecutive years we'll be able to offer even more money and grants to anyone in the
district. Well I'd like to welcome you aboard. Thank you! And I'm just glad to have you here
and everybody - get involved! This is going to be great! This is going to be a great way
to support our students and our community and our programs here in Bloomfield Hills.
Thanks so much! Thank you.
