Saskatchewan has been blessed with a huge number of resources specifically potash,
you can find it almost everywhere on the southern part of Saskatchewan.
What it means to us is that there's development, there's economic development,
specifically so there's a lot of people that can come back to Saskatchewan and have good jobs.
By 2050 we'll be at 9 billion people, and with that we need more food.
And at the end of the day, there's not more land to be had for agriculture,
so in order to get more food, what we have to do is we have to apply fertilizers,
crop nutrients so that essentially what we do is per acre of land we produce more food.
So Cory division we have a vital role in developing a resource so that we can help to feed the world's population.
We're very fortunate not only to have these resources but to be able to effectively
mine them and be able to have sustainable business from them
because I think that's one of the most important things in Canada's economy, specifically Saskatchewan's economy as well.
It has definitely provided a very good lifestyle for my family and this is money that's going back into the province.
I'm born and raised in Saskatoon and to me it's huge to be able to stay here.
I have a lot of friends and family that have moved to other provinces
and this is good roots, I'm a Saskatchewan boy and I plan on staying here for a lifetime.
Schools are trying to make it better, universities they're adding the internship programs,
co-op so instead of just learning the books you are actually are in the field,
having it, you know work with your own hands and seeing it everyday.
I think to understand the value of all of our resources not only potash but base metals,
and forestry and everything is to really get hands on and see what happens.
I think that it would be very valuable to understand the value of these resources
because the Potash as a fertilizer is very important to plant growth and all types of plants and can be used all over the world.
And it's literally Saskatchewan potash goes to every corner of the planet.
At the end of the day, agriculture is a key piece right from kids going to school,
having stomachs that are full so that they can grow and learn and have a productive life. It all starts with agriculture.
