bjbj Simon Payn: Hi. Simon here from Ready to Go Newsletters. One of the questions I
get is about newsletter design. Should they be all colorful and glossy, or should they
be black and white - more simple? My answer is that you should keep them simple, and black
and white is just fine. Here's the thing. A newsletter is about building a relationship
with people. It's about a personal, one-on-one communication with your clients. The thing
is, many people prefer to do business with other people, not with corporations. So I
think a newsletter that's more effective will be one that's more down-to-earth, one that
appears like it's coming from you. Now, if you send out a colorful, glossy newsletter,
what might happen is it may get ignored, because it's seen as just another fancy corporate
brochure. Instead, send out one that's more authentic, that's more you, that looks like
you've had some hand in the making of it. Make it appear as something more personal.
That's how you're going to build up a real relationship over the long-term. It's how
you're going to build a following of people who like you, know you, and trust you. And
that's why I make the newsletters the way I make them, and it's what I recommend that
you do, as well. Why Plain Beats Glossy for Newsletters Mortgage Newsletter Video Page
