Watersafe Well Water Test Kit Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor here.
Today we’re looking at the Watersafe Well Water Test Kit.
Now there are many good reasons to test your water with a test kit. For example, if you
move to a new location, or really for any reason if you experience a change in your
water supply. For example, perhaps you live in a community that shares a well and for
some reason they needed to drill a new well, when you get water from that new supply it’s
a really good idea to get test results so that you have a baseline from which to make
informed decisions on how to treat your water. And, of course, testing when you are suspicious
of a particular contaminant is really the only way to either settle or confirm those
suspicions. Now, this kit is aimed specifically at untreated
well water, and therefore, it includes a test for copper and iron. In fact, this kit tests
for bacteria, pesticides, nitrates, lead, nitrites, hardness, ph, chlorine, and of course,
copper and iron. Those last two contaminants are very commonly found in well water situations.
You have to understand that using a testing kit is really the only scientific way to know
the condition of your water and then how best to treat your specific situation. Remember,
if you use well water, you are your own municipal water treatment plant. If you don’t care
for your water, nobody else is going to do it for you. And you’d be amazed how many
people don’t bother to test and then install a whole house filter system or some kind of
a treatment system, only to discover it doesn’t deal with their specific problem. That is
an unfortunate circumstance that you can avoid by simply testing first and then using that
information to make an informed decision on how best to treat your specific situation.
Again, this is the Watersafe Well Water Test Kit, and I’m your host Tony the Filter Doctor.
Thanks for watching.
