Hello I'm Bruce Zimmerman host to the Open Line Garden Show and certified
horticulturalist for rittenhouse.ca.
Today we're talk about what water timers for the garden.
But first let's take a look at the Claber Diverter. The Claber divert will allow you
put a timer on one side
and run a hose off the other to water your balcony, pots, containers
etc.
It's a great advantage and it will make your life a lot easier.
Now if you are one of those people who cannot program the VCR, the microwave
then the Logica Timer is for you. Runs on nine volt battery so do pick
a good nine volt battery. It'll last the whole season.
The reason that it's easy it has fifteen presets. The presets run anywhere from
two minutes every six hours to a hundred and twenty minutes every week.
Simple, easy. Now if I turn it to five
and I would be running it ten minutes every twelve hours. Fifteen presets your
choice.
Now if you are up to simple programming you want to step up to the Video 6
The Video 6 has
three button programming.
You can program it differently each of the seven days a week.
You can program it for one minute up to twenty three hours and fifty nine
minutes each day.
And of course it needs that nine volt battery as well.
If you're running multiple lines then you want to go and you want to step up
to the Duplo.
The Duplo
has the three button programming and it works for each line so each line can be
run any of the seven days a week one minute to twenty three hours and fifty
nine minutes.
And of course if you have one day that you don't want to run you actually
program it for one minute so that you can program the other line to run on
that day as well. The Duplo uses the nine volt battery as well and only one
even though you're running multiple lines. But you can also get with the
Duplo the Rain Sensor. The Rain Sensor plugs and it will stop your
Duplo from running the program
when it's raining.
This is an advantage because as we all know we've seen it where people know
there's nobody home because the sprinkler systems on and it's raining.
