Hi, my name is Lauren. Today I'm going to show you how to cut hair into a Mohawk. The
first factor that you're going to want to do is how, you're going to think of is how
wide you'd like your Mohawk to be. You are going to start by sectioning your hair. A
Mohawk generally goes down the middle of your head. You are going to section your hair by
going straight down
with nice, crisp lines.
You're going to pin this hair out of your way so that way, you don't cut it with the
rest of your hair. You will do this line straight down the entire back of the actual head. Once you have your section of your lines of
your hair, that will be your actual Mohawk. You will decide on how short you would like
to make the sides. The shorter the sides, the more dramatic the Mohawk. You would get,
use regular clippers. You can gage on which size you would like to do. You can go anything
from a half, which is a very small blade size. It just barely covers that actual blade, or
you can go up to something in more of a five. A little bit larger, the longer your blade,
the longer your hair will actually remain on your sides. Once you get your blade on,
you will simply turn on your buzzer and you will actually work the hair all the way up
to, and buzz up to that line that you've already created on the top. This will get rid of all
of the hair on either side. It'll make it flush to the scalp and the only hair that
you will then have left would be your hair on top. Now I can, not going to be cutting
hair. I'm going to pull this back in order to show you. Now that we've taken our buzzer
and we've brought this up and we've gotten rid of all this hair on the sides, you will
then determine the length of your Mohawk and how long would like it to be. Depending on
how long you would like your Mohawk to be, you will simply grab your hair. You will grab
it up, in the front, just like this. You will take your scissor, make sure it's a hair cutting
shear so that way you don't fray your ends, and you would go straight across onto the
top section. As you go back towards the opposite section or you work your way around the scalp,
you will then direct your hair straight out at a ninety degree angle from actually every
point of your scalp. And that is how you would create a Mohawk.
