This is a celebration album for your 10 years with Traxtorm Records, let's talk about those years
10 intense, long and funny years,
I'm having a lot of satisfaction after many years of hard work in studio.
I think that my best music has come out since 2006
when I finally found my own style... now I'm satisfied of what I'm doing.
Each track is different on this album, is there a common theme?
Yes, for this album I got inspirations from the old school sounds.
that's why you can listen to a lot of old sounds on many of the tracks...
Let's say that you will not find many long breaks... or melodies as the nowadays mainstream style.
I think the sound is pretty danceable and a bit more rude than the average.
On this CD you have collaborated with many big artists, how did it work?
Really good cause they are all good friends and professionists..
when you work with big artists like them everything will be good
and when you go to the studio it takes not so long to get the goal...
I'm really satisfied.
When did you start working on this project? Tell us about this journey
It was a long route, started one and half year ago.
I had to stop all the productions for more than 6 months
cause I moved my studio and my house from Rome to Milano
changing all this things is not easy when you are doing an album.
Your favourite track on this CD?
My favourite track is "Dreams"
cause on that track there is a particular old school sound that I still love
and cause I think it is a real party track.
I also really like the vocals made by MC Tha Watcher
"Hardcore Machine", "Bassdrum ***" and "Game Over"
all "made to dance" tracks
And moreover the last track that I did the last night with Stunned Guys
it's a cover of "Nothing Else Matter"...I think will be floor filler!
Reveal us some little secrets of your studio
do you have some favourite plug ins or machines?
I don't have any favourite plug-in
I don't like how they sound..
I prefer using hardware machines
I really stick to my 909 and my mixer
almost all the kicks of this album are made in the analog way.
Anyway I don't have any special trick,
and I'm sorry but I'm not sharing the few I have...
cause are the result of many years of studio work.
Which is the difference from the "Mad Dog" of 10 years ago and the "Mad Dog" of today?
I think that 10 years ago I was still searching for my style...
In the beginning it was a mix of Neophyte, Promo and Traxtorm stuff
Today everything is clear to me
and I really do what I want
I think this is the real difference.
You will present this album with a worldwide tour... tell something about it.
I'm really proud of this tour
because it will be a real world tour
I will play in Mexico, Chile, Australia and of course all over Europe
and for the first time I will also play live
presenting all the songs.
This tour will start Friday 18 March @ Time-Out in Holland...
Holland is my second home, the country that made my dreams come true
I'm looking forward to start the tour.
Your project after this album?
A bit of relax, but not too long
and after that I think I will immediatly start working on a new album
cause I've already got new ideas and I want to collaborate with other artists
I really think I will start soon a new one.
Do you have some special thanks?
Yes, first of all to Maxx
who has sustained me in everything for this album.
All the Traxtorm crew, Barbara for the burocratic aspects
Mirco for the graphic art
Cristian for all the advices
Tetta, Rinske... and Patrick Moerlad for the brand new logo,
Martina Pastori for the production of the videoclip, and all the cast
"A Night Of Madness" video that will be released in a while,
and of course all the people and fans that support me every day...
Ciao!!!
