Here's what's coming up in the next few months.
I hate videos like this, where it's just someone talking into a camera explaining their plans
to their subscribers, but since YouTube won't let me do text updates, we're stuck with it.
So first of all: Things You Might Not Know is going on pause. Two reasons. First of all,
I'm exhausted. I have a full time job here at UsVsTh3m where I'm recording this after
hours without permission. And it's incredibly tiring! I don't want to do half-assed videos
in half-assed locations: I want to make them good. And secondly: I want to put the hours
that I do have in the day, towards new projects. Big projects.
If you subscribed for the Technical Difficulties, the podcast I do with some friends, well,
we're back. techdif.co.uk will have new audio episodes very soon, and we'll be making the
switch back to video in a few weeks' time too, and putting up some new shorts, here
on this channel, very soon. Probably going to be called Citation Needed, hopefully going
to be very funny, hopefully up very soon.
If you subscribed for science fiction videos and talks: yes, I'm making more. But they
take a long time. To come up with the idea, to write, to perform, to make all the graphics
for: they're big projects. Yes, there will be more, I've got a couple of conference gigs
coming up that I'm going to have to write new stuff for.
If you subscribed for quizzes and game shows, well, yeah: working on that. Hopefully there
will be a big show this summer where you get to play against someone in the studio. But
that is a big project. Got to spend a lot of time on it. But if it works, it's going
And if you subscribed for ridiculous stuff like throwing two drums and a cymbal off a
cliff or cooking bacon and eggs on an iron: well, first of all, thank you, it's been a
long time. And secondly yes, of course, we're going to make more stuff like that as soon
as me, or one of the folks I work with, has an idea that fits. In the meantime: I'm on
Twitter at @tomscott, I'm on Facebook, if you have an RSS reader I've got an RSS feed
over at my web site, at tomscott.com.
And before I go: a quick question. What are you hoping to see? What are you looking forward
to? Because it would be great to know what brings you here, and what, hopefully, keeps
you coming back. I can't guarantee I'm going to follow it because, hell, it's my channel,
and I've here to have fun, but it'd be nice to know what you'd like to see.
And until then: have fun.
