Now we are going to take a look at our B bebop scale. So we have our B major scale 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
now when you are a bebop musician you are going to be playing a lot of 16, 32nd notes
so you want a even number scale so what they did back in the 50s, 60s is they are doing
this nice chromatic note outside of the scale so I can use any one of these notes outside
of the scale as a passing tone or a note used in between the scale. Notice how I use this
A as long as I don't end on it, it would sound good. Now I'm using this B. That is the basic
philosophy behind playing these nice bebop runs in B.
