There are at least several flea and antique markets taking place every month in Tokyo.
One of the most interesting places which offer wide variety of goods is Togo Shrine Antique Flea Market in Harajuku,
held here every month.
You may find some great bargain here.
It is a real flea market.
Many buyers are foreigners who came here looking for a bargain.
It is actually not surprising - prices are quite low and you may find some really nice goods.
Flea markets are just like El Dorado for every fan of Japanese culture.
Many vendors are offering some really amazing goods.
Great quality of items and low prices can be really exciting if you are a fan of Japan and Japanese culture and art.
Only downside of the flea markets in Tokyo is that sometimes it may be hard to find one.
However if you put some effort to it and find one - there is great piece of Japanese history awaiting for you.
Stacks of old photos and thousands of different items - it is impossible to name them all.
I believe there is no doubt what was the source of George Lucas inspiration for Darth Vader character.
You may also find some cheap clothes here. Second Hand kimono - only 500 yen. And in really good condition.
3000 yen
You may buy some good for next to nothing.
Just amazing. Of course there is the problem of transporting it back to your country (and that's not so easy).
In the Flea Market you may find some unique souvenirs.
Not those cheap, mass-produced items made for tourists, but those "real", full of Japanese history.
And of course just like after every expedition - it is crepe time!
