Hey, what's going on today guys? I've got another great hitting drill for you and this
one is called The Frisbee Drill. This hitting drill is great for guys who have a very downward
angled swing. OK? I'm going to show you why I like this drill for those types of hitters.
If you've got a guy who's swinging straight down to this ball and cutting off short out
in front, if he takes his Frisbee like we're supposed to in this drill -- and I will explain
a little bit more in a second. But if he takes that same swing, when he throws this, that
Frisbee is going to go straight down into the ground. Instead what we want to do is
promote a good swing path or good angle through the zone. The Frisbee drill does a great job
of that and all we want our player to do is grab the Frisbee with one hand on one side,
one hand on the other on that, palm down. Get into our hitting stance and then when
we take our swing, we want to throw this Frisbee coming through level -- I like to tell my
guys to go slightly opposite field over the second baseman's head at that angle and that
plane going out. What this does is gives them an idea of how a good swing plane is supposed
to feel. OK? Everything else stays the same. We want a good load, good on the legs and
a good finish as we're going through the opposite field. The only thing different is we've got
a Frisbee instead of a bat. So it's going to look a little something like this. If you
don't have frisbees, you can use the bucket tops, the tops to your baseball buckets and
these actually fly a little bit straighter than those cheap frisbees do. That's what
you're looking for. If you found this video helpful, please subscribe and then join the
