There's another way to make a pitcher with a spout, and this way we're going to actually
cut a piece of the pot away and leave a spout there. I've already done the steps that I
did previously, and I've got it up into a cylinder. Now we need a different shape in
order to do this type of spout. So I'm going to show you how to do that first. This shape
needs to have a tall, thin neck, because that's where the spout is going to come from. So
I'm going to form my little shoulder here. Any time has an outer curve like that, it's
called a shoulder. And so my neck is going to start here. First, I'm going to collar
it in. And then very carefully, I'm going to push in with my outside hand, and pinch,
and pull this spout, I mean this neck, taller. I'm going to do this a couple of times. Now
I don't know if you can see the wave there, the pots getting torqued a little bit. So
what I need to do is go back in with my rib, and compress. I'm going to take my curved
rib because it's going to fit that shape a little bit better. Okay, so now we've got
the shape that we need to make a pitcher where we cut the spout.
