Homemade wines. Why. Homemade wines; why. Even if you use oak chips, or you put in oak
barrel or oak 'jus'; ferment it for however long... It will always have that little taste.
Your homemade wine will always taste like homemade wine. I'm a big fan of buying cheap
wine at the LCBO-- before making my own wine. Sorry. You can get a bottle of finished wine,
very good wine, for eight dollars. Six ninety-five, on special. So, you can get a wine for seven
dollars. Finished wine. That's been tasted, and is safe to drink. If you insist, because
you want to make a gift; you're not making a gift. You're gifting yourself that pleasure
of giving away wine. Your guest will be more happy to get a seven dollar bottle of cheap
wine at the LCBO than... your homemade wine. So, if you really want to make a gift; make
a gift. Go buy something, and give it away. Don't. Make. Wine. At home.
