>> Annie: Welcome to Take 2 at UW Stout's weekly news update for April 26 to May 2nd.
Hi. I'm Annie.
>> Hi. I'm Isaac.
>> Annie: We're here today at the Maple Tainter Theater in downtown Menomonie to tell you what's happening this week.
>> Isaac: Okay.
Believe it or not, the weather forecast for this weekend actually looks nice.
So go have some fun before those term papers and final projects are due.
There's a reason why Smithsonian Magazine named Menomonie one of the best 15 small cities in the country.
Check out the local trails and parks, the scenery, or the nearby brickyard disc golf course.
Which, by the way, was just ranked third in the world by Dee-Gee Course Review.
>> Annie: Also this weekend, the classic American play, Our Town, will be performed here at the Maple Trainer Center for the Arts on Main Street.
Other performances by the Menomonie Theater Guild, are May 3rd through the [inaudible].
The historical Maple Trainer is one of the best preserves Victorian Theatres in the county.
Seriously, if you haven't been inside, you need to take a peek.
>> Isaac: While at the Maple Tainter, check out the creative art deco, lighting, and 3D designs by UW Stout students.
The free exhibit is in the basement gallery and runs through May 3rd.
>> Annie: On Tuesday afternoon, take time to stop by the research day poster presentations in the great hall of the student center.
You can talk to students, faculty, and staff about their research, and maybe get some ideas for your own project.
>> Isaac: SSA is supposed to do a canvas cleanup on Saturday, April 27th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. They'll be meeting on the south [inaudible] and will was across campus cleaning it up.
Gloves, bags, and sticks are provided.
Happy earth week.
>> Annie: Are you a photographer?
Send your spring pics to Facebook.com/US Stout so everyone can see how great campus looks when it's actually green.
Well, that's it.
See you next week Stout.
