Tip number 10. Mixing. When you're mixing perfumes, like we talked about, it's important
to choose perfumes that are meant to be mixed. Not all perfumes mix well. It's not appropriate
to mix Polo with Paco Riban, even if you like the way they both smell. Those are perfumes
that are meant to stand alone. They are completely finished by the designer and never are meant
to be tampered with in any way. Don't mix them with water or alcohol to try to make
them go further the way some people do. Because you could change the inherent chemistry of
the perfume itself. If you want to mix a perfume don't ever mix it with any other liquid. Just
mix it with other perfumes that it's meant to be mixed with. Again, my personal preference
for this is Jo Maloney. Because she has a wide range of single note scents that are
deliberately meant to be mixed. I've even heard that you can mix up to 21 of her fragrances
and come up with an amazing combination that works despite its complexity.
