When the now Duke of Sussex tied the knot all eyes were on her as she stepped out of the car in front of the chapel to reveal her wedding dress for the first time
The 37-year-old opted for British fashion designer Clare Waight Keller, who is the artistic director for French fashion house Givenchy
The elegant and sophisticated dress had a minimal design with a bateau neckline, a feminine shape and a triple silk organza under skirt
Her gown was made even more spectacular with the addition of the five-metre long veil trimmed with lace depicting flora from each of the 53 Commonwealth countries
The design and designer of the exquisite gown was kept under wraps until just before the wedding when Kensington Palace revealed the details
And Princess Eugenie has aimed to keep her wedding dress a complete secret as well
All she has revealed about the dress is there is a British designer is behind it
She told Vogue in a recent interview: “The dress is the one thing that I was really decisive about
"As soon as we announced the wedding, I knew the designer, and the look, straight away
“I never thought I’d be the one who knew exactly what I like, but I’ve been pretty on top of it
” The 28-year-old hinted at its design in an interview with the BBC’s The One Show
When asked whether she would be wearing a straight gown or a meringue, Eugenie said: “Maybe a mix of both
Can you do that? Is there such a thing? “No meringue shoulder - that’s a little bit out of fashion - maybe it’s in fashion now? We’ll see what happens
” Caroline Castigliano, bespoke wedding dress designer, has told Express.co.uk what design she thinks the gown will take
She said: “I think Eugenie will wear a 50’s style gown very much in keeping with Grace Kelly, I expect to see softness and romance in her gown, every time she wear a fitted bodice with a full skirt she look fabulous
” The designer who owns a boutique in Knightsbridge said Eugenie could pick Erdem, the Turkish/Canadian designer she wore for the announcement of her engagement in January
However, as Eugenie has said she would go for a British designer, Caroline said other options could be Stewart Parvin or Alice Temperley
Stewart Parvin has been the Queen’s dressmaker since 2000 and was awarded for his services with a Royal Victorian Order in 2016
He also designed Zara Tindall’s bridal dress in 2011. Alice Temperley’s designs have been worn by both the Middleton sisters and she has an established brand after launching Temperley London back in 2000
Caroline said she does not think her dress will be similar to Meghan or Kate’s in any way, as her style is “entirely different
” “I believe Eugenie’s dress will have a fresh appeal, it will be lighter, softer, and more romantic hopefully a full soft floating skirt and a fitted bodice showing off her figures,” she said
“She would look great in a strapless dress but it is likely she will wear sleeves as it fits with Royal protocol, the dress could be designer so the sleeves can be removed after the wedding ceremony which would work well
” Caroline added Eugenie could choose to wear the same tiara her mother Sarah Ferguson wore on her wedding day as it would be a lovely way "to bring elements of her mothers side of the family into the wedding
" Erdem is the hot favourite according to Ladbrokes and punters believe she will be wearing the designer on the big day, but as she has already chosen one of their designs for her engagement, this might not be a possibility
