Its Bill the handyman serving Northern California, today we're looking at a whirlpool
automatic dryer.
this one would stay on as soon as the timer was set.
so so it would stay on until you opened the door or adjusted the timer off.
At first I thought is was a timer issue
... suspected timer had stuck points, When I took the timer apart it looked good but recondtitioned it anyway
I cleaned the points up and lubed the shaft
I put it back together and there's still the same
problem- stays on.
looking at the switch here
this is dual "On and end of cycle" buzzer button
Lot of used here
this is a little bit
sloppy or it just it doesn't have a lot of spring back to it
and so
doesn't spring out to shut off
it doesn't seem to spring out very strong
so what I might do so might take a ink pen spring , stretch it out and put it
in back of the *** or
glue a
sponge in between here
and so it'll automatically come out.
I also suspected it was the
the motor switch and so the motor switch
was an issue.
I suspected it may have been stuck points there too. On the motor shaft
can you see that that there's a little arm right in there
the little white arm that moves
and I just kinda sprayed some silicone lube on it
and moved around a bit
and is now the machine works fine
so anyway that's your tip for today. If you have benefited from my vids, Please send
