hi this is karen titus from stamping on the back porch today's card is going to be a fun
little washi tape technique i think this is really cool you can see i have a woven look
on the back and then i stamped right over it and then we added a little embellishment
on the sides so to do this i'm using the follow my heart set and the watercolor washi tape
i just love this gold and vanilla kind of look to this so to start that i just pre put
these on the edge of my table so they would be easy to do you can see how i used the darkest
color to kind of frame my picture so i just started it right like that the great thing
about washi tape is you can keep repositioning it so you can see i'm just going to play with
this idea right here and start another one i'm only going to do part of this because
you know you'll see what i'm doing and it would be a little boring ok so this one i
will just put under i will just do that a little better isn't that great to work with
and then the next one will go over ok just like that so i'm going to this all the way
down and then on my next one coming down here just take this you know it looks messy but
its actually really easy to do so on this next one i want to just alternate it so i
will put this one on top and i'll put this one and just keep going like that so you can
see how i am making this pretty little background technique and then with stazon ink i didn't
emboss or anything i just put the eiffel tower on this its from the follow my heart set and
so is the little accent piece here that is embossed in gold so i think thats really a
lovely stamp set to work with now the background is fun so the background is piece of basic
black i just cut it the long way so its still four and a quarter by five and a half and
then i put it through the stripes folder it might be hard to see that on there but thats
going to be my accent and then what i'm going to emboss on here is the gorgeous grunge pattern
i consider gorgeous grunge kind of the new its just necessary i use it on everything
and even on this which is really a lovely more classy card this makes a great background
so you wouldn't necessarily think grunge with it and because i've done the stripes first
when i put my versamark on its only going to get the raised part and i'm just doing
my two corners for my accent and i will put my powder on set that aside and now while
this is i think you can even see right here do you see how it skips a little bit it goes
in but i have all these little skipped lines so it just makes a pretty design like this
in the end i'll see if i have time to do this when i put this on so my vanilla piece here
is actually three and a quarter by four and a half and then i just have that popped up
a little so we'll see if this just gets started a little but i like how this gives the different
gaps and it doesn't make a flat you can see the stamp itself would have this flat because
i'm doing it this way there it comes to life so i think thats really a cool background
for this you know classier looking card i might as well finish it while i'm on here
this is a fun stamp set and of course it could be valentines but it could be wedding cards
all kinds of other things its really pretty again its follow my heart thats what the finished
background looks like and that is the finished card if you enjoyed this please subscribe
