Good afternoon Mustangs!
I'm Wes!
And I'm Megan!
And this is your West News.
Today is Monday, December 16th, 2013.
The low tomorrow is expected to be 21 degrees and the
high 36 degrees.
Claim your Lost and Found! Starting on Wednesday
December 18th there will be tables set up in the hall near
the cafeteria with many lost and found items. The tables
will be set up until Friday December 20th. Please take a
minute to check if any of the items belong to you. Items
not claimed will be donated to the Boise Rescue Mission.
And now two reminders and one warning! Students,
please remember that backpacks are to be left in your
locker until the end of 9th period. Please do not take
backpacks to your 9th period class or leave them outside
in the hallway during 9th period.
Reminder #2: If you want to visit a different 9th period
class than you are assigned, you MUST have a pass from
the other teacher and show that pass to your 9th period
teacher before getting permission to go to that classroom.
And now the warning: students, please log out of your
student account every time you use a school computer.
When you don't log out the next person who sits at that
computer can write down your student ID# and use it. You
should protect that number like your do your locker
combination.
Now to Rhodes in sports:
Attention baseball players! Borah Baseball is having a
Holiday Baseball camp for ages 9-14 January 2nd and 3rd.
Pitching, catching and hitting will be instructed. Swing by
Mr. Newbery's class for a camp flyer.
Attention all 7th and 8th grade boys! After eating your
lunch on Wednesday, gallop into the gym for the 7th and
8th grade boys basketball meeting!
Snowriders - don't forget the meeting tomorrow at break.
A lot of you have already returned your forms and
payment. If you haven't turned those into Mrs. Souden
yet, bring them to the meeting tomorrow. All paperwork
must be complete to compete in the first race on January
4th. See Mrs. Souden if you have any questions and don't
forget, you can access information from the Snowriders
School Fusion link under "Student Activities and Clubs".
Now back to the studio!
Cans, cans, and more cans! Two more days to bring in
canned food for the less fortunate! Take them to your 9th
period class. The deadline is this Wednesday!
The following students are being recognized for
demonstrating the core values of West Junior High. All
award winners may come to the office to claim your
Mustang Traditions T-Shirt: Palic Preston found earphones
outside in the field and brought them to the office. Nickee
Brumbaugh, Savannah Armstrong, Michelle Lee, and Ellie
Webber found a set of keys and turned them in. Cody
Livingston found a cell phone and turned it in. Tessa
Fronk found a necklace in the bathroom and turned it into
the office. Victoria Smith found a flash drive in the library
and turned it in. J.D. Wohlers found a cell phone and
turned it in to the office. Kyon Kerr found headphones and
brought them to the office. And Malika Fantin found an
iPhone and took it to the office. Great job Mustangs!
Happy birthday to Jacob Johnson!
The quote of the day is from An anonymous Student He
said, "if everyone was a comedian then the world would
not be funny". So don't be afraid to laugh this week
mustangs.
This is Wes!
And Megan!
Stay classy West Jr. High!
