>> You know, there’s absolutely nothing like sitting on the deck early in the morning,
watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee and the kids are still sleeping. Getting in
the canoe, quietly paddling around and hearing that loon call.
>> Just to relax, and to enjoy the company of the people you’re with.
>> Throwing the fishing line in, and you know, watching your kids catch a sunfish for the
very first time and seeing the look on their faces. Love it, love it.
>> Cottaging in Ontario is as old as Ontario and it is a great way to unwind when you need
to get away from things every once in a while, and a cottage is a great place to do that.
We know that’s there’s nothing worse than getting to a place and it isn’t what you
thought you’d booked. Simple as that.
>> Absolute honesty. We don’t sugarcoat it, we don’t try to make it look like something
it’s not. We tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly.
>> We put a huge photo library on for every cottage. Every bedroom, every bathroom, and
then in writing we also describe it in a lot of detail.
>> Lists of everything that you will find at the cottage right down to tea towels.
>> I mean, wouldn’t you want to know if there was a railway station within a quarter
mile of your property?
>> Thorough and accurate, and using as many photos as we need to to actually show people
what they’re getting.
>> Knowledge is the most important thing. A lot of people have never rented a cottage
before, they don’t have experience in cottage country and they don’t know what to ask.
>> We just really think that if you give people as much information as you possibly can, upfront,
before they make a decision, let them make their decision, the transaction is going to
go great for everyone. It’s a personal value.
>> It’s so far been very successful to do that.
>> Beyond that, we’ve been doing this for twenty years. We don’t represent anything
unless we’ve seen it, in person.
>> We go out and look at cottages that the owners want us to represent, and we walk through
the door and we think no. It’s not something that we would stay in ourselves so we won’t
represent it.
>> And that’s why people come to us, because they didn’t have to go to that cottage that
we just walked away from.
>> I have a family, I don’t want my vacation to... suck... for lack of a better word.
>> I hope it’s everything you wanted it to be. I hope it goes by in the blink of an
eye because you’re having so much fun.
>> There’s nothing better than having a client who’s had a fantastic holiday. It
makes it worth coming back day after day and doing what we do.
>> I’d like you to come away and say, “That was a really great experience, I had a great
time with my kids.”
>> Hopefully, the next sentence is, “I’m really glad we went through Cottage Country”
