Stress is really self-imposed. A lot of the stress we experience is because we are putting
expectations and limitations on our self. Now every single day there are things that
we have to do to be highly functional, emotionally matured adults. Then there are things that
we want to do and I think that when it comes to stress the most important thing you can
do is really differentiate between you know what you have to do and what you need to do
to stay on track and on purpose. A lot of things that fill up our day that stress us
out are actually very irrelevant. It's a lot of busy work and at the end of the day a lot
of it doesn't really mean anything. So the best way to deal with stress is to add more
meaning into your life. To say that we can eliminate stress is unrealistic because we
live in a stressful world. But to say that we can balance stress by adding more meaning
into our life means that we take sometime to enjoy nature. We make that call to somebody
we care about so we can connect. We take some time to sleep, we take some time to indulge
in life's simple pleasures. You know managing stress is more about adding what works and
taking away what doesn't. Because if we take away what's not working we are just gonna
be stressed out even more.
