So basically this is Fortress Accents We have 5 different cap sizes, we have anywhere
from a 2 inch cap to a 5 inch cap.
The two and three inch caps they are iron post, or are aluminum post.
Then our 3 ½ inch, 4 inch and 5 inch The versions will fit some wood or some wood composite
posts.
We tried to come up with a cap design that fits most of the key players in the composite
that industry. So we have a well enough known company that we probably have a cap options
that going to fit.
As far as the finishes go, we've got whites black well the call our ABZ (Our antique bronze
finish). All the capture constructed out of die-cast aluminum they have uh...They come
as a 2 piece design. It's all hidden fasteners, you don't see any fasteners on our caps. And
they way that they go together is with our caps that are made up to fit a steel or aluminum
post you have set screws that actually lock the cap to the base to the post. On our versions
that fit onto a word or wood composite post. There are screws inside of it, there's 4 screws
inside that actually screw into the deck post. Or the wood surface onto of the wood post.
And what that does is by having 4 screws you can actually balance it or level it to get
a perfectly horizontal finish.
So our caps come unlit, there's no light kit added to them at this point in time.
iI the homeowner decides they want to add a light kit what they do is they buy what
we call a cap like it module and that module or kit consist of four LED's assemblies they
all have heatsync technology to draw the heat off of the LED's
It's uh...sends out a warm light out and then we have a lens that directs the light outwards,
so it's not a spotlight but is creates a wider spread on the lighting.
And what you do is these lights actually plug into these corresponding slots on the base
cover. Then what you can do is if you decide that you want a light 1, 2, 3 or 4 sides for
instance this one is lit on all four sides. This light is actually lit on 2 sides. You
have light on both of these and not a light here. So you have some flexibility as far
as were you. If you decide that you want to buy and have
one light in each of these you can actually take these pieces and cut them off and move
them from one cap to another to change the light effect that you get with your deck.
Then we have what we call our universal accent lights, these are small lights that are 2
½ inches long by 3 inches in depth and they mount up underneath the post or railings.
They mount underneath a stair tread. Again, it's all LED technology. This with the same
heatsync technology to draw the heat off of the LED. Also the lenses to direct the light
out into a wider spread.
The 3rd light that we have is a vertical post light. It mounts to the side of a post. Again
it's all hidden fasters. The LED's come out the bottom it's got the same lens that directs
the light out away from the post
Then our last light that we have is our surface mount light its die-cast aluminum also. What's
unique about that light as we have a specially designed lens that actually spreads light
across the surface so you don't get the hot spot that you can see with a lot of other
surface lights. It gives it a real nice effect basically of how the light is dispersed and
emitted from the fixture.
So what we have here is the fasten master ThruLok. It's the first ever non-free drilling
carriage bolt replacement. So instead of having a pre-drill, hammer through a bolt, thread
on a nut on the backside, that's very labor intensive very expensive.
What we did just with all the other FastenMaster products we eliminated the Pre-drilling.
So it's called the ThruLok. As you can see they come preassembled with the washer, with
a nut. The nuts have notches on them that dig into the wood as it drives, it sucks itself
in. So let me show you how it works.
Magnetic driver bit, so there's no bit slippage. I am going to drive in like so. Drive it close.
As you can see my post is not set in concrete. Then I am going to hand tighten the nut on
the back side. That is all I am going to do. Literally out this on so it is hand tight
on the back side. Watch it draw tight. Boom you're done.
So, instead of 3 or 4 minutes for a carriage bolt. Buying an expensive Auger bit. Its 20
seconds for a FastenMaster ThruLok.
Ok, so this is our Highpoint suitcase. What we're doing in showing our brand new,
ultra small endurance line. These are button lights also known as the new generation LED's
by Highpoint. They are the 777 series we're super excited to debut them here at the deck
expo. We came out with 5 new finishes
What you can tell different about the Highpoint is the warm ambiance and the feel to them.
You can see in some of our gallery pictures by some of the contractors that have installed
them their warm soft and they are inviting still just like the rest of our line. And
so we're super excited to know that the LED's now compliment that same warmth and it's not
a super cool white it's not a blue if it's not an outer worldly feeling. It's at the
same as a warm incandescent, it's 2700K they don't need to be dimmed because they're not
too bright.
They are easy to install and what's really cool is the new finishes. Our Hard Bronze
is actually solid brass for the chemical it won't flake, peal or chip. We have our Oil-rubbed
bronze and that's a new finishes this year and that's just simply brass. And then we
have real stainless steel and brand new we have textured black on aluminum and we have
powdered white on aluminum.
So we have a couple new things show you this year if you continue down the line.
We can see this case over here. And looking at it you can't really tell which one is LED,
but low and behold, it's this guy. So that is what really cool, is out retro fit LED
it's the 960 L16. It's awesome, it's super warm. You can't tell just by looking at it
that it's LED unless you talk to someone and told them now like I am telling you now. It
pulls 1.3 watts, runs off of AC and DC so you are no longer limited to just a DC transformer
and that one is dimmable in case you wanted to bring it down a couple of notches.
So this is a smart that Smart-Bit it's our predrilling counter sinking tool for decks.
It's good for hardwood denser composites makes this unique is this is independently strong
stop color so when it hits the wood it's going to stop spinning so it doesn't mark the wood.
So this is Ipe right here, a very dense wood.
It'd going to make the same exact hole every time and then to follow it up we have head
coat a stainless steel screw with powder coated head. We've eighteen different colors of head
coat available. And that is the finish you are going to get.
So this is our deck fast composite screw. It's our composite screw that goes into composite
or cap stock decking. Uh... it's called deck fast cap door, the reasons called cap door
is because it is specific designed for deck fast cap door as well.
Uh... if you look at the screw three different segments of threading what this is going to
do Is to prevent the screw from causing a mushroom effect which is that little bump
around the head.
So you put it in without predrilling. And that is the finish you are going to get.
We have 8 different colors we also have it in a stainless steel version which is also
available.
We have our plugging system for hardwood decks, we have in 20 different species.
This is the pro plug tool it's very similar to our Smart-Bit tool it is going to counter
sink and counter bore the whole. What makes us is independently strong stop color so when
it hits the wood it's going to stop spinning so it doesn't mark the wood.
So this is it here.
This is an abaca decking, it is one of the most dense deck boards on the market. Then
you put in the deck screw, it is an 8 by 2 ½ stainless steel deck screw.
And what makes the system really unique is this glue nozzle. This glue nozzle comes in
every packet.
Uh... instead of going to take that plug and roll it in glue, it actually dispenses glue
out the side walls of the whole of the novels. So it coats the sidewalls and with glue. You
just put in the plug and hammer it in and give it a quicksand and that finishing you
are going to get.
