In the meantime, to stick with this but to show you the absurdity of some of the reporting
we're getting, instead of talking about Republicans wanting to relax safety regulations on nuclear
power, Fox decides to do something else. They decide to put up an image of different nuclear
plants in Japan. And we have that image for our TV audience and we'll put it up.
Now, if you take a look at this, this aired on Monday's episode of Fox News's "Your World
with Neil Cavuto". This is the International Atomic Agency's list of Japanese nuclear plants,
Louis, that you see here. And you might notice one called Shibuya Eggman. Shibuya Eggman,
you see that one there?
Louis: I see it, yeah.
David: Well, it's on the Fox News map, but it's not on the IAEA list. Why on Earth could
that be? Well, it turns out that Shibuya Eggman is actually a nightclub. It's not actually
a nuclear facility. And the IAEA list, because it's a list of nuclear facilities, would have
no reason to include nightclubs in its list.
If you quickly Google Shibuya Eggman, you'll find nothing meaningful about nuclear power,
however, The Eggman is the name of a dance club in the trendy neighborhood of Tokyo called
Shibuya. And it just so happens that the Fox graphic placed this reactor in Tokyo. And
we actually have a picture of the... let's go to the picture of the actual club. And
that's what it is. It's a club there. I mean, I heard Johnny Hi-Fi played there in '06,
maybe that makes it radioactive. But I have no idea why it would be on here.
Louis: Yeah. Why would Fox News intentionally do that?
David: Or if it's unintentional, where are they getting this? You know, in the future,
I think the recommendation, the takeaway here, Louis, the teachable moment... I really don't
like that phrase... the teachable moment here would be don't watch "Your World with Neil
Cavuto" for information about nuclear power plants or about nightclubs.
Louis: Or about anything. Just skip it altogether.
[Laughter]
David: The new poll, is the Japanese nuclear power crisis changing your views about nuclear
power? That's the question. www.DavidPakman.com, vote.
