I'm actually going through describing some of the glasses that are available for you
to choose for your art glass projects. As we're doing, today and I wanted to show you
water glass. Now water glass is a very nice smooth glass, easy to cut almost like butter.
It's called water glass because it almost gives the appearance of a water surface. There's
a slight texture to it but nothing major, this one actually has streaks in it so you
can see the two different colors formed together. It's kind of a aqua-green color and then here
I have a solid water glass just that very beautiful majestic or sapphire blue water
glass and these are just they're wonderful wonderful pieces of glass. Now you wouldn't
really want to use something like this in a Mosaic because in your Mosaics you can see
the surface behind unless you were using a plate glass behind your Mosaic. On the Terracotta,
if you're doing a Terracotta plant holder or something, you wouldn't want to use this
unless you use a special backing that would mirror that because you would see the texture
behind it. But for all of your leaded pieces and your Foiled pieces this is a beautiful
glass to use and it will allow a lot of light to come through.
