From Time to time we all get caught holding our babies on our hips for longer than our
arms feel they can support them. Today Im reviewing the Suppori Baby Sling.
The simple light weight design means its easy to put on & weighs less than your iPhone4.
Lets take a look.
Suppori Baby Slings are fitted, lightweight slings that you wear close to your body & helps
support babies weight. It gives your arm a break from supporting babies weight.
Suppori are the winners of 5 international awards for this simple, no complicated straps
or buckles sling that is suitable to use with your baby when they can sit up independently
on their own up to a maximum weight of 13kgs.
To put it on, its just 3 steps
Put sling over your head and spread the strap across your shoulder
Place baby in sling Pull the sling up to Cover babys back and
hips and support with your hand.
It comes in 5 Sizes to suite the wearer not the babys size so means you dont have to upgrade
as your baby grows. The more technical side suppori provides support as babies weight
rests on your hip and across your deltoid muscle. Most baby carriers place the baby
weight across your trapezius muscle which is actually not a strong as the deltoid.
The Suppori is made of a strong knitted mesh (triple tread, triple woven mesh stricture
so it allows for air flow, great for hotter weather. Be weary of accessories such as jewelry
or belt buckles that could snag when your putting it on or off.
At only 80gms in weight (half the weight of your iphone4) Its one of the best baby carriers
that can fold or roll up to fit in a very compact package so wont take up alot of space
in your *** bag & is a great item to have when baby decides they dont want to be in
the pram, they want to be carried.
Whilst testing this out, I was stopped many times by other Mums who just wanted to know
where they could get one from. My 1yr old loves to be hip carried, everywhere and I
do end up cooking and vacuuming with him on my hip most days so the suppori certainly
has offered some great support to my arms during those moments. I have loved the ease
of using this especially On The Go.
Machine Washable on a gentle wash. And its available in 30 different colours.
Pros. Simple to put on and take off
Comfortable Compact
Lightweight yet strong Supportive
Choice of colours
Cons Not meant to be worn for more than 2hrs, whilst
jogging or exercising. Not a total hands free carrier
Pressure on the shoulder means you cant lift your arm above shoulder hight.
