Formatting your paper: APA Style
The title page
Type the words "Running head" followed by a colon and the short title written in capital letters.
The words "Running head" should only appear on the title page.
Insert a page number in the top right-hand corner of the page.
Center the title of your paper.
Include your name and the name of your institution (in this case Sheridan College).
The body of your essay
On page two and beyond, you should only see the short title in capital letters.
Double-click on the Header and select the Design tab Option for "Different first page header," in Word.
Delete the words "Running head:" on the second page.
References
Alphabetize reference list entries.
Center the title "References" on the page.
Double-space the text.
Indent second and subsequent lines of the reference so that the author names appear along the left margin.
