(Riding horses in the hills of West Virginia’s New River Gorge is a fun family trip.)
(This video shows you why people always have a great on ACE’s trails, barn-none!)
This is Louise.
She and I met up at the stables this morning
and took a walk out through a nice open field.
Then when it got a little bit hot, we just dipped right into the woods and took a ride through some trails.
We saw a few animals and the nice breeze kept us cool.
There are great views out here. We went out to the Gorge and saw the river.
Nothing like a nice, slow trip through the mountains.
I love riding a horse because they're honest,
they're fun, they're strong, they're brave.
You just get to see more of the woods
because deer and other wildlife aren't afraid of the horses.
So they'll catch the scent of the horse and if you're quiet,
you'll walk past a deer - not four feet away - and they'll just stand and look at you.
It's just special having the animal with you.
It just allows you to see the forest in a way and the woods in a way that you wouldn't see it if it was just you.
