Hello! Today I'm going to show you how I dyed my hair extensions in the same sort of gradient
pink thingy that my real hair is.
I love my hair but sometimes it's nice to have extra length and volume so... HAIR EXTENSIONS!
I'm using human hair extensions provided by VPFashion.
These ones are #613A- White Blonde. Use the code "violetlebeaux1031" to get $8 off your
order.

These extensions are great quality but the colour is just not quite right.
I used the extensions, my usual blonde dye, my pink dye, scissors, a brush, some paper
and my phone as a timer.
Firstly, lay out some paper to protect your surface from the dye because it's going to
get messy!
I would think that most of you would do this in your bathroom rather than your living room
so it probably wouldn't be nessecary.
The next thing I did was mix up the bleach. Please read and follow the instructions that
come with the bleach you're using.
Most dyes are different so I'm not going to list all the individual instructions for this
step because you probably aren't using the same one.
Since these are human hair extensions, you can pretty much treat them like your normal
hair.
The bleach I'm using is L'Oreal prelightener in "Super Blonde".
Also keep in mind that this is just what works for me. Different techniques work for different
hair types.
I would always suggest you take your extensions to your hair stylist before you try anything.
Better safe than sorry!
Now I applied my bleach all over the hair, making sure not to forget the tops along the
track lines.
Make sure the hair is coated thoroughly and evenly for the best results.
Now repeat on all of the other extensions.
I set a timer for the amount of time recommended in the instructions and then let them sit.
Now do your waiting dance!
After they sat for the correct amount of time, I added some warm water as per the instructions
and washed them out.
This easier to do in a shower than a bowl but it's much easier for us to film here.
After the bleach was washed out I gave them a shampoo and left them wet for the next step.
I brushed out all the tangles so they were ready for the next step.
For the dying part I'm using the conditioner that came with the dye and a pink dye from
Paint Box.

If you have wet hands you might need to get your hunky assistant to open the bottle for
you!
Add a little of the pink to the conditioner and give them a good mix.
This will form a lighter pastel colour and make the dye easier to apply.
Take an extension and apply plain conditioner all over it.
Take a tiny bit of the pink mixture and apply to your hands.
You can use gloves if you'd like but this dye washes out so I don't worry about it.
Gently apply to the bottom of the hair and work your way up.
It should be a very light pink, almost as if you weren't applying anything at all.
Now apply a bit more to your hands and continue wrapping it around your fingers in a spiral.
Apply it darker to the ends of your hair and work it upwards.
I find this is the easiest way to get a consistent gradient and that twisting the hair gives
better control.
Once you like the way it looks, repeat with all of the other ones!
It's important to stop every few minutes and brush it out so you can make sure the dye
is where you want it to be.
Done! Easy right?
Wash the hair out to remove any residual dye and then give it a blow dry.
Taadaa!
I finished the pink at different lengths depending on where it was going to be placed so that
it matched my hair.
And when they are clipped into my natural hair... super long!
I love the extra length and volume these give, make sure you check out VPFashion in the description!
Thanks for watching, bye!
