In today's video, you learn how to turn a photo like this
in a photo like this
In this video, we will learn how to change the sky of a photo
and all this can be done using masks in Photoshop
Photoshop masks are great for doing a number of things
And one of them is to hide things or show things that you want to show
Let's choose the photos we will use
After choosing the stumps dimension them to the desired format
The mask can be activated in the second icon from left to right in the bar on the right side
With the mask on, what you paint in black will be hidden, revealing the photo of the previous layer
I'll just paint in a way that I can see the photo in a general context
Okay, this is what I want.
Now I'll select the correct one
I'll use the selection tool to select all the sky I want to change in the photo
Once everything is selected, I will invent the selection
and then activate the mask
Some adjustments to position the sky better
Do not forget to select hollow places so the mask becomes more real.
For time reasons, I will not be very precise in the selections here
The leaves between the trees need a touch
Now that the mask is complete let'*** the colors of the photos
For this, I will use an adjustment layer, Color Balance
As the house layer is less blue than the sky layer, I will add blue to the house layer
Then I hit the lights and shadows of the sky layer with another layer of adjustment, Curves
Once you're all balanced, then now is the time to finish editing.
At this time you can use Lightroom, simply export a JPEG or TIFF
Once all the layers are ready, I'll merge them all
After this, I will use Camera Raw to edit the photo just like using Lightroom
Camera Raw is pretty much the same as Lightroom
See the other videos about Lightroom on the channel
In Photoshop you can also use the Nik Collection Plugins
I will use Viveza 2 for a better photo
As the photo has a bit of noise I will use the Dfine2, also from Nik to take some of the noise of the photo
Some more details on Camera Raw
Once everything is ready you just need to export your photo!
