Exchanged destinies
Welcome to the magazine "Exchanged destinies".
Each week, we meet a guest with an uncommon life,
who we will confront with a 2nd guest completely opposed.
Welcome Michael, professional lawyer in Creffin.
He doesn't like snakes.
For one day, he accepted to live the life of ***ège,
who has always been a viper snake.
First, let's meet Alexander, snakes farmer since 20 years.
A documentary with images.
Hi, I'm Alexander.
Snakes is my passion since 20 years.
This is ***ège, only 2 months old.
Farming snakes is a full time operation.
Snakes have a modest life but very rich in experiences.
A 2 months old snake like this may have already lived what a human lives in his entire life.
That's it.
I am not sure if Michael will handle it today.
An experience like is strong in emotions,
and requires fair amount of cold blood.
Let's wish for the best.
Let's welcome Alexander on the set.
- Good evening Alexander. - Good evening.
Can someone like Michael live one day as your snake ***ège?
Nice question indeed.
You must be passionate to be part of the snake's life.
Myself and my little pack of snakes, 10 snakes,
I was rejected, even if I was passionate.
It's about thinking like a snake?
Maybe not think like him, but have most of his reflexes.
Let's now welcome Michael, who accepted this experience.
- Good evening. - Good evening Michael.
How did someone phobic like you come to accept this?
It's true in my profession we don't usually do this.
I was attracted to novelty.
So I decided to go for it.
Are you prepared to do anything?
No I'm not.
I fixed some limits, for example I won't make love with a snake.
Hi I'm Michael, I accepted to live like a snake for 1 day.
I have a bit of apprehension but let's see how it goes.
In order to enter the life of this snake,
we will pack you in a canvas cover in order to...
- ... feel his body? -Exactly.
- It's tight, I didn't expect that. - That's what it's like to be a snake.
Morning.
It was a good night sleep.
I see ***ège waking up too.
Don't know what she has planned for the day.
I will start moving a bit.
Harder than I thought.
The morning I didn't know when we were supposed to get up.
Nobody would have thought, but for a snake, moving is not easy.
Just thinking about all the rest was scary.
The first activity of a snake, is to eat.
Don't expect me to succeed at first try.
The snake had a lot of years to practice.
I heard a few remarks from the camera team,
kind of making fun of me, I didn't like that.
I'm not used to this ok?
My mouth is too small.
A snake's is bigger.
I learned that snakes have huge mouths.
How do they do this?
Excuse me for not succeeding at first try. That's it.
They asked me to try something: snakes scare people.
So that's what I'm going to do now.
I am watching out, it's a lot of waiting to be a snake.
We wait.
But a snake is also entitled to leisure, such as bathing.
I have a bit of apprehension because the water is filthy,
but if it's good for a snake, it's good for me.
This was one of the hardest challenges,
mainly because I can't swim.
I don't know how they do it.
First time I had to swim.
But I was a snake close to drown.
I don't recommend this to my worse enemy.
After one day with ***ège, how do you feel?
I didn't know snakes could do so many different things.
They are not so big and yet I wasn't bored.
Would I take the plunge for it?
Living every day like a snake? No, no no, no no, no.
You don't feel capable?
Yes but mainly I don't want that.
Alexander do you think Michael was a good student?
This is a long-term endeavor.
Eventually Michael could get away with it.
But I don't want that, I did the experience for the show,
but never that every day, you don't understand?
We end the show on strong images.
See you next week for a new "Exchanged Destinies".
Good evening with the Pals 7.
Hello Alexander, Pals 7.
What are we looking for, for the next bonus?
Snakes.
Let's have a look.
- Here's one. - He's not afraid.
We got one. Bravo.
What species is this?
I confirm it is a viper.
First Pals 7 snake.
Why am I the only one lifting rocks?
There must be a trap somewhere...
