Hi I’m Anna from Telstra and in these series of videos
I’ll be showing you how to get started with your new EasyTouch 4G.
To skip to the next or previous video in the series,
use the YouTube buttons below.
The Telstra EasyTouch 4G is a continuation of the successful
EasyTouch range of phones. That were designed to be easy to use.
So lets get started.
The great thing about this phone is that you can browse
the internet and search with Google directly from your home screen.
Tap ‘Google’ at the top and enter keywords.
Alternatively you can access the internet by swiping from your home screen
to find the Internet widget and tapping the Internet button.
Then type in an address, and you can also bookmark it.
Once bookmarked, it can be accessed directly with the Favourites widget.
To set up your email account on your EasyTouch 4G
touch the all apps button and select the Email app.
The first step in setting up is to enter your email address and your password.
After this you may be prompted to enter server setting details
which you can contact your email provider for.
Follow the on screen instructions,
and your email address will be set up in no time.
Once you are in your email account, you can view your incoming emails,
write new emails or reply to existing one, delete and forward
as you would do on your computer. If you want to see your drafts
sent emails and other folders, you can view them by tapping
the drop down menu at the top of the screen.
There is a navigation bar appearing at the bottom of the screen
depending on whether you are in your inbox or reading an email.
You can use the icons to compose a new message, search for an email
or once you are in one of the emails, reply, forward or delete.
When you receive a message, you will receive a notification
in the notification bar. Depending on the settings you've selected at setup.
Drag down the bar down and select the email notification to read the new message.
Depending on your email provider, you might also be able to access your email
using the Internet browser on your phone,
but you will not receive notifications of incoming emails,
much like when you use a web browser on your computer.
If you have a Gmail account, it’s recommended that you set up your account
using the Gmail app, which you will find in the all apps screen.
The phone integrates with the app giving you the best possible experience.
Once you have entered your Gmail address and your password,
your email, calendar and contacts can be automatically synced to your phone.
In case you don’t have a Gmail address you might wish to consider getting one,
as this also gives you access to the Google Play Store
with thousands of apps, books, movies and games.
