A day to celebrate and support those with cancer.
Many volunteers hit the street with daffodils to support the cause,
and one volunteer knows too well of the difficulties of this disease.
Daffodil Day has been operating for 20 years,
and its cause has been spread far and wide.
This is something Violet truly believed in,
when she was diagnosed with cancer.
Then there were the doctor's warnings.
There is nothing more to be said
to keep Violet on track with her check ups.
It is an illness that can't be ignored.
More then $4 million was raised by the Cancer Society
on Daffodil Day last year. The main objective?
To help people like Violet get though.
More than a million dollars of the profits
is given to cancer research,
and it are those contributions that allow Violet
to continue smelling the flowers.
