My name is Allison Leavee and I'm a student at Durham College enrolled in the Court Support program.
The Court Support Services program is a program that provides you with a basic legal understanding
of the court systems and then they specifically train you for about 3 or 4 different roles that you could work at
once you graduate. One of the roles in the Court Monitor, or Court Reporter,
who basically records all the proceedings in the court room and then puts it into a transcript and
they work on the side doing that. The thing I like best about my professors is that
they're all experts in their field, they're all bringing 20-25 years of experience doing exactly what they're training us to do.
They're always communicating with us about employment opportunities, they bring in people who are in positions to hire us
to talk to us and they have really set us up to succeed when we graduate from this program.
I know personally I've already gone on several interviews and I know that by the time I graduate I will be successful in this field.
