You're doing today what you have to do, it's very, very important
for the rest of your lives.

about scholarships, colleges,
and the information that's there for us.

out here, to -- to view.
And I want to see what options are open for me.
>> By 2025, California is going
to need 1 million more college-educated folks
in this state.
At the same time, the difference between a high school education
and a college education over the lifetime
of earnings is $1 million.
>> You are part of building a brighter, stronger,
better future for everyone in California.
>> I think it's going to help a lot of students hare
in high school to go to university, like my brother.
My brother is going around getting information too.
>> We heard there was going to be help for Latina students,
and we're going to college next year
and Sacramento State might be an option.
So it's win-win.
>> I think it's great, because you know, you get to come
out here, see different workshops and stuff.
Especially us first generation college students.

>> You need to do everything you can to prepare for the future
of California, for your future, and be able to be a leader
in this community or wherever you may be.
>> I'm the first of my family to go to university.
>> I'll be the first in my family to go to college.
