The Magic of Wood - Retrospective
Houses of the World
I admit we were surprised
by truly enormous response on the market.
That is why we immediately next year in 2011
added another 6 similar units to that part of the camp.
We named them Forrest Villas
and we are achieving in our camp opening time from April to October
together with smaller term over New Year
over 90 % occupancy of these houses
and that is why we are extremely satisfied.
We were trying to combine primal architecture
with higher level of comfort.
We were not trying to do this as glamping or glamorous camping
but we were just trying to get closer
or better - create a portal for connecting people with nature.
Because we are trying to enrich Slovenia with wooden objects
and of course not just with good architecture
but with everything that fits along
also with good hospitality and service.
This house is a kind of derivative of this concept.
It is an articulation of one of the project
which we call Wooden house - icon of Slovenian economy.
The idea is to position Slovenia abroad
as a country of good architecture
and a country of crazy projects from wood.
