Welcome back again, my name is Lisa from
Here is our guy, Steven. Hi how are you doing Steven?
Good to see you again! I've got some good interesting stories for those who want to
know a better way of studying Korean. We've also got two students here.
Lisa! You look nice today.
thank you, you look nice too. Wait a second. I gotta think. Steven why are you giving me
a compliment? Do you have any favor for me? Tell me the truth.
Not at all. I decided to give people compliments. People like some one who gives them lots of
compliments. Isn't it true?
Steven, are you interested in some one?
Lisa, if you say likethat I feel like I am always trying hard to look nice to girls.
Steven, don't worry. You don't look like always.. but for sure sometimes though.
I think Steven cares too much about what people think of him. Steven, please don't. We all
love you.
Lisa, are you serious? Oh that's the truth coming out of your heart!
haha.. Well.. That's enough. Has any one found today's phrase while I and Steven were talking?
Ok, let's see if you found it or not. Ok everybody.
Let's play sentence!!
Did you find it? Today's phrase is a question asking about people's condition. There are
two: one is "오늘은 좀 어때요?" meaning "How do you feel today?" and "괜찮아요"
meaning "I am good".
We studied how to say "I have a cold" yesterday. And they did act hard to look like some one
with cold. But today it's nice to see you guys back in health.
Shall we try how to ask the condition, and how to say "I got well". Let's show our serious
action again today. Ok let's practice together, Lisa. Lisa your role is a person who used
to have a cold.
Sure, sounds good for me. Ok, let's do it.
"How do you feel today?"
"I am good" Steven, you don't have to overact!
Come on, Lisa. It's just acting. Haha. "괜찮아요?", I hope you two(students) do a good job too.
Alright let's start.
shall we exchage you guys' role and try again?
alright. Your "괜찮아요" doesn't sound quiet right. We will go over this later when
we do pronunciation.
Anyhow, what we're learning new is a negative. Using "-지마세요" meaning "do not-", Let's
make some sentences using "-지마세요"What about we make one sentence for each for Steven,
think of something you don't want him to do.
things that you guys don't want me to do? Oh I don't think that will work. Haha.. but
I will let you try. Starting from Lisa.
oh I am very disappointed with you guys. How can you say that in public? And P1, I didn't
call you that many times!
Oh Iam sorry, Steven. I am not talking about me, I am talking about the girl that you dated before. I heard she
doesn't answer your calls. So from now on, "전화하지마세요"
we mastered the “-지 마세요” phrase because of Steven. Oh now it’s time for
us to make it up for him. Let’s make him happy. Steven, don’t worry. “걱정하지
마세요”
Oh I can’t get mad with all this. Ok… I give up. But do not play this any more.
Ok? “장난하지마세요”
we are like a great team ever. We always think about today’s phrase whatever we do. Maybe
now it’s easier for our audience to understand when the phrase can be used. Ok, now pronunciation
time! Let’s show our great team work again!
today’s phrase is tough to pronounce though you did all the sentence making work, the
pronunciation still remains as a problem. Ok, the toughest one is “괜찮아요”.
“ㅎ” is silent as if there is a vowel after a final consonant “ㅎ”, we make
the “ㅎ” silent. So, it sound “ 괜차나요”
good. now let's try a little faster. every one. "괜찮아요“
Good job! Should we repeat it three times? like this. “괜찮아요”“괜찮아요”“괜찮아요”
I am out of my breath. haha... how is my pronunciation?
Are you getting more comfortable with pronunciation now? We studied various phrases and pronunciation
today, now it’s time for flash animation review! Let’s look over what we learned
today.
Oh, I made a mistake. I think I am having way too much fun. haha. Ok next one is "걱정하지
말아요“ which mean "don't worry". "걱정” is pronounced as "걱쩡“ not "걱정”.
because the final consonant 'ㄱ‘ makes 'ㅈ’ to "ㅉ“. Ok that's try again. "걱정하지
마세요”
Ok. very nice job again. Shall we ask Lisa to pronounce again for us?
Ok we study hard again today learning different sentences and pronunciation. let's do the
review with the flash animation. Thanks for your hard work guys. Ok! Lisa and Steven's
Flash Animation!
hahaha… Steven, you got some pepper powder on your eyes. Must hurt a lot.
Yeah… what’s worse was though…that you were mad at me. I don’t like flash animation
too much. Ugh…
it’s not for real, Steven. “걱정하지 말아요”
I loved today’s lesson, I feel like we spend 10 minutes really efficiently
yes of course, we also enjoy this time. Do not take this time as your boring studying
time, but just join us and have fun together.
