In this clip, I'm going to show you how to load your Ruger Mark three twenty-two pistol.
One thing you have with a Ruger Mark three, is you have a magazine. The magazine is, basically,
a storage unit for the ammunition. This magazine also has an assisted loader, which a little
different than your standard magazine, most standard magazines you have to push each round
in. This magazine has the ability that you can pull the follower down and put a round
in at a time, that way you're not forcing any ammunition inside the magazine. What you'll
do is you'll load your magazine in, or load your magazine up all the way, and once it's
loaded, you'll take your open and safe firearm and put your magazine inside the magazine
well, until it clicks. Once it is properly seated, you'll hear that little snap, like
you just heard. That tells you that your magazine is securely in place in the magazine well.
Also, you want to make sure here, with safety again, that the firearm is pointed in a safe
direction. What you'll do at that point, you'll either do one or two things, you'll push down
on the slide stop, which would be just like that, or, and I'm going to open and safe it,
or you'll pull the slide back and drop it. Now, because I have the magazine in place
it won't allow it to come forward and as I'm shooting, on the last round it's going to
lock your bolt back, or your slide all the way to the back. What you'll do is, again,
push down on the slide stop and that just loads your round into the chamber and that
is how you load your Ruger Mark three pistol.
