This has been a busy week as I left Cape Town for the "Race in Space" conference at
Duke University
in Durham North Carolina! Good Morning.

And I'm here at the "Race in Space" Conference. I'll be talking about this book
and Rayla 2012 and the imagination.
JCH: Fantastic! I can't wait to see it and have you ever had to be part of a conference like this?
I think this is the first type of conference of its
kind for anybody! Not just me, so
yeah...I'm pretty excited about it.
I think looking at settlements and people of color
and our role in creating these new worlds is very important

I run a publication called "The Space Review" which is thespacereview.com. We do weekly articles, long-form essays
about various aspects of space exploration.

a panel that is STEM fields in space.
The "Race in Space" conference was a full day of amazing
speakers talking about issues of diversity in space
It uniquely brought together artist comic book designers
and physical scientist as well as social sciences
to discuss the issues of our collective future.

for hosting such a wonderful event!
