This Morning's Phillip Schofield clashes with parents who want to sue school who let boy wear a dress
Theres never a dull moment on This Morning, and today (September 11) was no different, as hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby clashed with two of their guests.
Nigel and Sally Rowe appeared on the programme after withdrawing their 6-year-old son from his primary school because the school had allowed a boy in his class to wear a dress.
Arguing their case, the parents claimed that the issue shouldnt be addressed in the environment of the school.
Suggesting that the children were not offered enough medical advice, Nigel Rowe argued that it is not right for such young children to experiment with their gender.
Appearing visibly confused by their explanation, Phillip interjected: Youre the ones that have the problem, not the children.
He went on: Children adapt remarkably well and if things are explained to them then they understand very clearly. Its not an issue with the children, its an issue with you..
When Neil asked what would happen if one day a child wore a dress and then the next didnt, Phil simply responded: Just explain it.
Asking if the Rowes would have the same stance about children coming out as gay at school, Phil added: Attitudes change, were less medieval now than we used to be.
