Hey guys, Ivan here, bringing you updates on the Nucleotide game development.
The beautiful frog-like creature that you are looking at is the first version
of our player character for the game.
If you watched any of our development diaries before, you know that I've used
a green cube as a replacement for the player character,
and that will no longer be the case.
As Ozzy Osbourne would say: "Well, It's about *** time".
This character was inspired by the Red-Eyed Tree Frog, native to Neotropical
rainforests in Central America. There goes your biology lesson.
Base model from which I built this character was outsourced, since it was possible to do so.
The model has a perfectly rigged armature, witch will be obvious in the future,
since I've just started working on the animations and don't have anything to show yet.
Low-poly version of this model has well under 2000 triangles,
but I can easily increase it with subdivide surface modifier in Blender.
I'm of course talking about Blender, the free and open-source
3D computer graphics software, and not the kitchen and laboratory appliance
used to mix, mash, or emulsify food and other substances.
So if you were wondering, this answered your question,
all models for this game will be created in Blender.
This is not the final version of this model, I had some changes in plan,
but they will have to wait.
