Library Fast Facts:
in this module you will learn where to find help in the library,
where to find our Special Collections,
and about some of the library's specialized services.
The library is typically open until 2am Sunday through Thursday
and until 6pm on Friday and Saturday.
After midnight you need to have your Appcard with you to stay in the building.

walk up.
The people who work here are here to help you use the resources.
For walk-up help on the first floor, the Circulation Desk will help you check out
books, laptops,
reserves, or study rooms. For research or technical help, please visit the
Reference Desk at the center of this floor.
You can get one-on-one help with the Research Advisory Program
this is called a RAP Session.
The Digital Media Studio on the third floor
has great equipment for checkout and high-powered editing software to create
everything from still photos to full-length feature films.
The University Writing Center is a free service on the lower level.
Every book on the shelves of this library had an editor;
you probably need one too.
The Instructional Materials Center, the IMC,
is found on the library's lower level.
This collection supports the Reich College of Education.
The fourth floor houses special collections
including the Appalachian Collection,
the Stock Car Racing Collection,
Rare Books and Manuscripts, and the University Archives.
Food and drink are not allowed on this floor.
The Music Library is in the Broyhill Music Center, across River Street.
