Teech is a charity which works to improve the basic living conditions of many young
and elderly people in eastern Europe.
The charity is an enthusiastic supporter of MyDonate, the free online fundraising service
from BT.
In August 2013, a team of 36 volunteers from the charity drove across Europe on a mission
to Moldova.
Their destination was a small village called Zberoaia, near the Romanian border.
The team took all the tools and equipment needed to build bathrooms and toilets for
the village school and its 200 children.
Previously, the children didn't have access to running water. The mission to Moldova was
a great success. And the charity's chairman, Rob Brown, made it clear about why Teech and
its fundraisers favoured MyDonate.
"Obviously in previous years, we used to use the Just Giving site to raise money and for
people to put money into the charity."
"But as you know, we used to have to pay for that, and BT have come up with a MyDonate
page which we 100 per cent support. It's free for us and that's what we use now."
"Teech is brilliant and so is MyDonate."
