Ok welcome back guys, to another episode of my Let's Play: Fire
Red Nuzlocke Challenge Series This is part 5, and I have just got to the
second city Cerulean City, I think it's called?
And I just got out of the cave So my pokemons are still low
And I got stuff to sell in my bag And I'm just gonna buy some new potions
Maybe a few more pokeballs, some super potions Usually I like to buy 3-4 super potions,
And the rest of them I'd just get potions Because potions are less prone to overhealing
and are a lot more cost efficient And it's 300 dollars per potions
And most of the time when you get out of a trainer battle
You'd be like 13-20 hp down And if you have to use a super potion to heal
up It would be very...it would be a waste of
your money Especially in the Nuzlocke Challenge where
you have to conserve your resources So I'll prolly just get 3-4 super potions
if I'm in a bind.. like if I need a huge recovery (in battle)
and potions just don't cut it then I'll have some super potions in my bag
Just something to count on Anyways I'm just gonna walk up to the gauntlet
And I completely forgot that we encounter Gary(rival) here
So I'm not sure how I am going to do I should be fine, I did switch pidgey out
So I won't be at a typing disadvantage here And I am higher level so I'm just prolly gonna..
I thought about um.. going with gust or quick attack
I think both have a base power of 40 but quick attack is a priority move
So I will be at an advantage no matter what I want to kill him in the most efficient way
so I don't lose too much hit points on pidgeotto And I cannot believe that I did not 3 hit
him And he gets a crit right there so... that
was a lil frustrating But I mean its not too big of a deal
I can prolly heal it back up And in comes rattata
And im gona go to my balls, haha im gonna go to my balls..
That's right my balls take cares of everything Im gonna throw out a leech seed
So the next turn I can use potion on pidgeotto Oh wait no, I do use sleep powder
I'm not really sure why actually Ok I keep using sleep powder, it finally lands
after 2 misses And I'm prolly gonna use a potion on pidgeotto
I think I should use another one just in case Because charmander is going to be level 18...
And if pidgeotto is not at full health, I don't really have anything else that can deal
with a charmander So that could be a problem
So I'll just quick attack it for the priority again
Oh my god, that was a huge cut But I did manage to take it down
And he only has abra left, his abra only has teleport so
Its nothing to be afraid of Im just prolly gona throw some leech seed
down get some health back, and get him down
I don't even know why I bothered sleeping him
That's just really wasting my pp (Power Points), So that was dumb move but whatever
At least I got him down Then I realize that my starter pokemon ( balls)
is weak to 3 of his team I'm weak to fire, I'm weak to flying type,
so that's charmander and his pidgeotto And im also weak to psychic
And his abra hasn't evolve yet ,so right now it's not a problem
But when he evolves into kadabra, I'm gona have a huge problem
As you can see I have nothing else that can really deal with it except for uh.
My pidgeotto right now Im not really confident in what pokemon im
going to get, Because u never, the first thing u encounter,
so it's gonna be the most common one, Like when I get past this bridge, to the grass
patch on the left, I might end up running into another pidgey,
so that would be a huge problem If I don't get something that can deal with
them soon Because I think the next time I see Gary (rival)
will be on the boat So it's really not that far from now
And there's only 2-3 routes that has grass patches where I can catch pokemons with
Right now since I got past the rival battle, it should be save to just have Jeremy out
Get some free exp Next best thing (to deal with Gary) other
than pidgeotto will be Jeremy, So im gonna get him as high level as possible
So that he can also deal with charmander and kadabra'
next time when he's higher another problem is that, it's gonna take a
long time before I can use my moonstone on Jeremy
I do have a moonstone, but then once u evolve a jigglypuff it doesn't learn new moves
And it could be a problem because most of jigglypuff's better moves you learn later
on in the game I think I learn hyper voice at lvl 44, so
it's gonna be a long time before I can evolve Jeremy here
And I think it could be a problem, so im just gonna get him as high level as pssobile right
now I mean he does have mega kick and mega punch
and pound So im just gonna have him pound on kakuna
Yes.. Beat him with no problem
And since I just got out of the cave I am actually kinda low on pp, almost everything
is at half And even after I get through this ladder(gauntlet)
There's still 7 or 8 more trainers across the bridge
And I really don't want to have to go back to the poke center until I beat all of them
Because im pretty sure I will have to go to the pokemon center again after I beat the
gym So that would already be 2 uses, so I really
have to use my skills, Pokemon moves wisely here or else im just
gonna run out and Its gonna be much harder later on when,,,
uh to get through to the third city Anyways right now, Jeremy is just pounding
stuff, And he gets to level 13, so that's nice
And she's gonna send out an oddish And I know oddish has stun spore what not,
and it has poison, So im just not gonna take any risk
I do remember what happened to tommy.. got killed by poison
Not a nice feeling, so im jut gonna bring out Sherman and gust him,
And im just gona bring Jeremy back out to a bellsprout
and mega punch his butt, probably another will do if I don't miss
I'm quite hesitant on using these moves (megakick/punch) Because .. im not relaly a fan of using moves
with lower accuracy So even though mega kick has 10 base power
it also only has a 75% chance of hitting, so that's not great
anyways I think I should be fine here agisnt a sandshrew
Ill just set up some leech seed, and then sleep powder him
And go back out to Jeremy, so Jeremy can get some life back
That way I wont have to use any potions So that is what I do
I miss the first sleep but that's ok, no big deal
Sandshrew doesn't do damage So I get him to sleep, first turn(sleep)
Ok , sending Jeremy in for some hp.. and he wakes up NO
NOOOOOO slow motion recap...
Uh.. and he does wake up.. so no., noooo(weeping) So there goes Jeremy... he was my best chance
against (gary)his team right now.. Im quite upset
That was unexpected. I did not .. I mean it was stupid on my part
I probably should've just used potions, Since Jeremy was extremely low..
And the possibility of a second turn wake is not high, but it still exist
UHHH. Oh my god, that really sucks I did spend a lot of trainer battle exp on
Jeremy I also gave him moves like mega kick and mega
punch.. Ah that was so dumb.
Well I mean. (sigh) Well he can join tommy.
Right now im actually quite worried If Jeremy is down, that means there is more
strain on Sherman and balls Balls' pokemon moves,
Now im not sure if I can get through this whole gauntlet
Including ppl that are, the ppl after I cross the bridge,
without having to go back to the poke center. But I'll have to see what I can do, I do have
some more pokemon in my bag The other two are kane and shane?
I don't really have much intention of leveling them
I just thought it would be nice to have a few pokemons to sacrifice when iget into a
tight spot Its not really the fact that I don't want
to waste exp on them, Its just that they are all the same typing
They are all flying types. If I level all 3 flying types its gonna be really dumb
Anyways, this guy asking me if I wanna join And I don't wanna join of coruse
And he's gonna make me. Anyways I get intimidated
But I think gust is a special move Actually I wasn't too sure, I didn't bother
to look it up But um, yeah I take him down with no problem
Im just gona go to balls and tackle him to death
I get confused here, but zubat really doesn't do anything to me
The only thing that is super effect is leech life
And leech life does 1 or 2 so I don't really Tackle him to death, get some free exp and
got him down Sigh, still cant believe I let Jeremy die
That was really stupid, should've just used a potion
And I run into.. I think this is the last trainer im going to do
Because im about to hit the 15 minute mark, And I should be able to get past this battle
in prolly 1 minute And im just gonna catch one more pokemon in
the grass patch And then prolly do the rest on part 6?
Hopefully I get past part 6 faster And I can also get to the second gym, if not
do the second gym too But uh we'll see, we'll see what happens
She sends out an enaks and im just gona tackle it
Im not really worry aobut his leer Because the only attacking moves he has are
poison sting and wrap And wrap relaly doesn't do dmg
It's percentage based dmg and its really.. even if it crits, its not gonna kill you
Im just gonna go back to pidgey(Sherman) to get him down faster
I am about to reach the vid limit Of course I run into a caterpie
But Im not gonna, not gonna... whine about it
because at least it's not another flying type, cause if I do run into another pidgey I am
going,.. (sigh) I don't even know what I am gonna do
I think I ran into one earlier, and I just killed it, it's a different route ( route
2) Cause I don't need two pidgey... no one does,
even one pidgey is too much to be honest Anyways I just switched kane out so that,
just to make sure I don't kill him in one hit with balls or Sherman
and it's a caterpie, I will catch it for sure and since Jeremy died, im just gonna name
this tom again, hopefully tom will shine this game, uh but
we'll see butterfree is pretty strong in my opinion
anyways I think this is the end of this video feel free to leave a like, comment, and subscribe.
And I'll see you in part 6, thank you!
