Hi I'm Julia Drake and I'm going to talk about how to join a history book club. The first
thing to consider in joining a history book club is which part of history you are interested
in. I mean there is so much out there, be it European history, American history or specific
times in history, WWI, WWII you know whatever and a great way to find that out is just to
read up a lot. There is also a lot of historians that on different subjects in history that
you could read about to really find specific subjects that interest you or watch DVD's,
go and see movies, it is just a very big area, history. Once you have that, there is also
a breadth of associations, history associations. Museums are a great place to look for history
book clubs and you can also go to your local library. A lot of librarians are actually
very versed in history so they might be able to help you out too. In fact on line there
is a website that is called historybookclub.com where you can sign up and your membership
includes four to five discounted books that you can get started with and you join the
group and there you go.
