Officials from three government ministries went to the presidential office of Cheong
Wa Dae this morning to hand in their status report and left with an order from the president
to reassess public organizations. President Park Geun-hye once again called
on the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Financial Services Commission and Korea Fair
Trade Commission to look into reducing the debt of public organizations, tackling mismanagement
and increasing productivity. She also mentioned that acts that hurt economically
weak businesses must be eradicated, and asked for measures that would restore the trust
of financial consumers after the recent leak of personal data by three major credit card
companies.
