Welcome to DoDEA News in a Minute.
Teachers at Kinnick High School in Yokosuka, Japan
are thinking creatively about how to use technology
to support students that have evacuated the school
seeking a safe haven in other DoDEA districts.
Shane Hernandez, a teacher at Kinnick, has been working with
other teachers at the school to find a way for students to
get the instruction they need despite the authorized departure.
All of us maintain a SharePoint website where we post
assignments and due dates, and some teachers even have
a forum discussion on their website.
Each teacher has something a little bit different.
I pretty much use SharePoint myself, also email,
individual emails and group emails to get all the assignments out.
While online resources can't replace direct instruction
it is a great way to help students remain engaged
even while they are in transit to another school.
This has been DoDEA News in a Minute. Thanks for watching.
