>> JACOB:Hi, I just wanted to give a quick tip about resolving
blue screen of death.
Had a client, who when they turned on their computer it gave the dreaded blue screen of
death.
First off, I went and I tested the hard drive to see if there were errors there,
then I tested the memory,
and then afterwards I would have tested the video card drivers,
but when I started testing the memory it came out with a bunch of memory errors,
so right there, I knew right away where the problem was.
Now, when you get a blue screen of death
what usually causes that is communication between
harddware and software.
So the problems I've seen that usually cause that is when the harddrive has an error,
which is why I did that test first to see if there were corrupt files,
or something of that nature.
or if the memory is bad so it's not storing the correct information,
or if windows update does a poor update, updates the wrong driver for some reason.
In that case, I would have to boot into safe mode and uninstall the update
but with this example it was memory error that caused the blue screen of death,
so now I know what to replace to fix it
