We've got a different type of March Madness over here at AllMusic, and it includes our
bracket for this week's best new album releases.
Colombian pop star and The Voice judge Shakira is releasing her new self-titled album this
week, which is her tenth overall. The album's first single, "Can't Remember to Forget You,"
featuring Rihanna, has already made a splash with its racy video. Fellow judge Blake Shelton
also makes an appearance on the album.
Mess, the latest from Brooklyn-based indie rock band Liars, shows the band continuing
to hop between different genres, this time embracing more of an electro-pop approach,
in contrast to their earlier material, which was more guitar-based.
Finally, jazz legend Miles Davis has a new live set coming out, consisting of four shows
he performed in 1970, two months after the release of his pioneering fusion album, ***
Brew. The shows had previously been condensed into a single live album, but now all four
performances are being released in full in a four-disc set. For more on these albums
and the rest of the week's new releases, head over to All Music Dot com.
